Yard deodorizing

Picking up the poop fixes what you see. Deodorizing helps with what you smell. We treat your whole yard to help knock down dog-yard odor, instead of covering it up with a scent.

What we use

We use Wysiwash, a product used by veterinarians, animal shelters, and boarding kennels. It attaches to a hose and turns water into a mild, pH-neutral solution, so there's no harsh mixing and no rinsing afterward.

It works on the odor itself rather than masking it with fragrance. A yard is not a kennel floor, though: on soil, grass, and rock, no spray can promise a germ-free yard, so we don't claim to sanitize or disinfect yours. What it does well is help your yard smell fresher between visits.

How we treat your yard

  1. Pickup firstWe always scoop before we spray, so the treatment reaches the ground instead of the waste.
  2. Dogs insideWe ask that dogs be put away while we treat the yard.
  3. The whole yardWe treat the entire yard: grass, rock, patio, and concrete, with extra attention where your dogs go most.
  4. Let it dryPets can go back out once the treated areas are dry.

How often

  • Once a month: a great reset for most yards, an available add-on with any recurring plan.
  • Once a week: for multi-dog homes, small yards, or hot months when odor builds fast. An available add-on with weekly or more frequent service.
  • One time: add it to a one-time cleanup, perfect before a party or a home showing.

Artificial turf? Deodorizing works on turf too. If odor still lingers in the turf backing, our separate turf enzyme treatment is designed for that. You can add either one in the price calculator.
